SALON POLICIES

CHECK-IN
We encourage our client guests to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to complete a client history form and unwind before your appointment.

LATE ARRIVALS
Due to the nature of our business and scheduling commitments to other client guests, we strive to stay on schedule.  HC Salon appreciates a courtesy call to notify us of all late arrivals.  We will make every effort to accommodate the initial scheduled appointment; however, we reserve the right to reschedule appointments for any client guest that arrives 15 minutes or later to ensure our professional stylists have the allocated time required to help our client guests' achieve their desired results.
 
CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS
We firmly believe in the value of time, but understand that life can be unpredictable.  We understand that scheduling adjustments are necessary.  We request client guests to cancel or reschedule appointments providing a 24-hour courtesty window.   Same day cancellations cost our talented staff time and money, and will carry a $15 cancellation fee.  

"No Show" appointments are very disruptive to HC Salon operations.   All no-show reservations will result in a $20 service charge and will require a deposit to reschedule their appointment.  Any client guest that had 3 consecutive "No Shows" for scheduled appointments will be unable to schedule future appointments.  HC Salon will gladly provide salon services to you as a walk-in client guest.

STYLING DESIGN SERVICES CONSULTATION & PRICING
Salon service pricing may vary based on hair length, thickness, amount of product used and quantity of time required to achieve desired results.  HC Salon offers a complimentary consultation with your HC salon professional.  We encourage client guests to schedule a consultation prior to chemical services including color and texturing to ensure maximum desired results.   HC salon professional can determine actual pricing for your services during your complimentary consultation session.

PAYMENT AND GRATUITIES
HC Salon gladly accepts Visa, Mastercard, personal checks and cash for payment of services and products.  Any returned check will result in a $25 service charge plus the face amount of the check to be paid before any services can be rendered.  

HC Salon does not include gratuities in our salon pricing.  Gratuities are welcomed and encouraged at our client guests' discretion in recognition of oustanding services performed by our HC Professional team.  Due to the high service fees associated with credit card processing, gratuities will not be added to any credit card or debit card purchase.

GIFT CERTIFICATES
HC Salon offers gift certificates for purchase.  Gift certificates may be issued in any denomination and are ideal gifts for birthdays, holidays, anniveraries and any special occassions.  Gift certificates are valid for one year from date of purchase and may be used towards the purchase of retail products or salon services (excluding gratuities).  Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.

CELL PHONES
We encourage our client guests to silence their cellular phones during their visit to HC Salon and refrain from cell phone conversations during your services.  This will help maintain a calm and relaxing environment and allow our salon professionals to service you with limited disruptions.

CHILDREN
HC Salon is pleased to welcome and service client guests of all ages.  Due to the nature of our business, dangerous chemicals and sharp objects are located on our premises. For the safety of your children and the comfort of our client guests, we ask that you monitor and remind your children to avoid running, spinning or climbing in the salon.   Parents / legal guardians will be financially responsible for any damage to salon equipment that is the result of negligience.  Children will not be allowed in our spa area at any time.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

RETAIL REFUNDS AND RETURNS
HC Salon offers only salon professional products for retail.  We proudly stand behind our professional product lines of REDKEN, MATRIX, LISAP and BIG SEXY and guarentee our professional services when stylist recommended professional products are used for home maintenance. If you find yourself dissastified with any retail product purchased at our salon, we will gladly apply a full refund value to another product of your choice with in 7-days of the original purchase date.  Gift certificates and gift cards can not be redeemed for cash.  All sales are final on our clearance merchandise.

SERVICE GUARANTEE
Hair dressing is a form of artistic impression.  We celebrate the creativity and individuality of our HC service providers who are commited to serving our client guests.  Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal.  If we miss the mark of excellence, please contact the salon manager with in 48 hours of your service appointment.  Due to the artistic nature of what we do, we can not offer refunds on salon services.  Upon HC Management descretion, a complimentary redo or alternative solution may be offered.  

CHEMICAL SERVICES
Chemical services include coloring, texturing and perms.  It is extremely important to make your stylist aware of any and all processes you have used on your hair.   Frequent use of styling products, heat tools, chemical treatments, as well as exposure to medications and environmental toxins may compromise the integrity of your hair; causing your hair to become weak, stressed and damaged. Depending on the condition of your hair, desired results may vary and could take several visits to achieve.  Our salon professionals will recommend salon professional products to help improve the health of your hair and maintain the results after your service.
 
DEPOSITS - Corrective Color, Straightening & Bridal Services
Due to the extensive time required for extensive treatments including corrective color, hair smoothing, and bridal services, a deposit is required at the time of scheduling.  The deposit will be applied to the client guests' salon service balance.  Please note, our cancellation and no-show policy will apply.
 
COLOR FORMULATIONS
Hair coloring is an art and all hair color formulations are the property of HC Salon.  Should you find yourself relocating to another area, we are happy to provide to you your color formula with a fee of $80.  We do recommend you seek a professional REDKEN or LISAP colorist from a reputable salon to assist you with any chemical services for your hair.

WALK-INS
We welcome walk-in customers; however, we encourage our client guests to schedule appointments to ensure we have the appropriate time allocated to accomodate your desired results.  If you are unable to schedule an appointment in advance, our walk-in guests may experience a short wait until one of our salon professionals have availability in their schedule.  

PERSONAL ITEMS
HC Salon is not responsible for any personal items that are damaged, lost or stolen.  For color clients, we provide color smocks to help protect clothing, but can not guarentee thorough protection of clothing garments.  We encourage our guests to keep their personal belongings with them during their visit.  Any items turned into our receptionist will be held for 2 weeks.  These items will be donated to a charity of our choice if they are not claimed in the 2 week grace period. 

PROFESSIONALISM
Professionalism is expected in our salon.  Please refrain from making any racial comments, cursing or inappropriate behavior that could be considered disrespectful and offensive to other salon patrons.  HC Salon reserves the right to refuse service to any client guest for improper conduct, tardiness, no shows or any other situation we deem inappropriate.
